Roman Catholicism
When RM discusses Roman Catholicism it is not directed to all Catholics but to those who adhere to the teachings of Rome (The Pope, The Vatican etc.)
Rome teaches several biblical doctrines correctly, like the doctrine of The Trinity for example. However some, including essential Christian truths (ones that must be believed in order to be a Christian) that it teaches are false and that is a problem. The fact that Rome denies essential truths rejects them from the true body of Christ.
RM is not promoting this notion from a judgmental standpoint but from a biblical standpoint. RM seeks to defend the True Gospel Of Jesus Christ.
Some of the problems with Roman Catholicism are as follows:
-The denial of salvation through faith alone, which is clearly taught in the Bible
-Rome unarguably and openly idolizes the saints, particularly Mary
-Rome denies that Christ's righteousness is imputed into a sinner at salvation (or that the sinner is declared perfect in the eyes of God) but rather they assert that one actually becomes righteous.
- Rome believes in baptism as an essential ( a must do) for salvation
-Other more trivial issues exist with Rome but our focus will be on the essentials
